Less is more, with this kitchen reface project

Interior design for a Small Renovation in Melbourne

It is often, that customers comes to us, wanted as minimum changes as possible, to avoid spending hundreds of $$, and in this economy we understand their needs. We also can create a wow effect with small changes.

Take this reface project for example, the kitchen is still in good condition and the layout works well, benchtops are like new, however the room is dark, with dark wooden floor, dark furniture, dark benchtops. Benchtop are a no go zone for changes, so are the appliances and the rest of the open space. We made her two propositions, one where the whole room was repainted, the second focusing more on the kitchen only. Changing the doors system on the left, to create a more hidden look.

Our Starting point of the project, the Kitchen fronts have to be replaced. Handles were in good condition but we decided that it was time for a change to modernize the space and look. we spend some of her budget on the tall unit to elevate the room and make use of these high ceiling. And integrated a space tower from Blum with drawers inside for practicality. The use of vertical lines & paneling is to balance the floor orientation. Also she absolutely love the look of a batch house. We added lighting under the island and made use of the electrical already in place.
